You've gone and chosen the most difficult medium - just keep practising, and remember the further colours tend to be bluer, or sometimes purpler, that those in the foreground. Use the strongest colours and tonal contrasts in your main subject, in this case the unusual land formation, keeping an eye on the direction of light - and don't put too strong a barrier in front of the viewer: leave us with a way in to the picture, rather than putting an obstacle in the way. Interesting sky textures in this one.

Just the type of advice needed and will keep this in mind when I next have a go at painting. I will welcome and look forward to any comments. Thanks for taking the time to help me Regards Ruth
