Smashing first try and it works. I would suggest practice on the hands and also skintones, but lovely effort. Can't comment on the likeness but sure you have nailed it.

Thanks for your comments tried hands but gave up I love looking at painting were the skin tone looks sfoft. As for likeness not quite there yet but she is so pretty it would be hard to capture ther

I agree with Derek, really good first effort. My only suggestion would be to try and put a small shadow down the edge of the hand nearest to the face, just to separate the two. Looking forward to the next portrait.
