A good duo but hope no-one was hurt and that the mouse survived!

Excellent painting Russ.

Two stories: Charlie, a border terrier, caught a rat and rapidly despatched it: I wish I hadn't had to witness it. Emma, a GSD/Alsatian - and huge - saw one of our pet rats struggling to get out of his tank; ever willing to help, she grabbed him in her teeth, lifted him out, and plonked him on a nearby chair - Wilf the rat, for t'was he, bit her on the nose and squeaked in indignation. She stood there, blood trickling down her snout, plainly wondering what she'd done to annoy the weird puppy.... in fairness, though Wilf was a bit of an aggressive old bully, devoid of fear, it must have come as a bit of a shock to him to be grabbed by an enormous mouth and flipped onto the chair. Emma did not decide to finish him off there and then, which I feared she might: and friendly relations were restored. This painting, which is very charming, reminds me of that encounter.

Very cute…like Heather, I hope the little mouse was ok….

Lovely painting Russ, lovely dog and he brought you a present!
