Acrylic on canvas. This painting took me a considerable amount of time to plan draw and execute. After making several sketches I decided on this one which has the greater depth and suits my style showing light and dark passages and leading the eye around the painting creating interest. I admire and have been influenced by Murillo's religious paintings. He is a great national hero in Spain but he has also been much loved in England.

Previously owned an art gallery on the high street selling my work. They are in private and public collections. I have been an illustrator for Wentwoth wooden jigsaw puzzles where I was a best seller. My paintings have been published on textiles and my designs in books and posters.
