Chamois leather (natural or synthetic, doesn't matter), wrapped around your index finger (for a large surface) or a tortillon/stump (for a small surface) is used as a blending tool. Movement is from dark to light. As you can see from my drawings, I can't use this technique well. In the future, perhaps ...
