I really like your unique style Roger, it jumps out at me, and I’m intrigued that you start with little idea of what the final result may be! You handle light and colour very well and leave the viewer with something to work out, which is always good.

Thank you for your comments Tessa and for taking the time to check out my work. I am pleased you like this particular image as 'Field patterns' is also a favourite of mine. The inspiration for the work comes from my fascination with cloud shadows moving across open land and the patterns and shapes made by the dark areas where the light doesn't penetrate!. I suspect I also like the image because it came together very quickly....ah, if only all paintings did that !. Roger Mc
