Unusual still life capturing the delicate roots with great precision Roger. Is it in oils?

Really unusual and a great painting

Don't try inhaling what's in the vase Roger! The painting itself has some lovely delicate touches and I do like the palette. Hope you're keeping well.

Hello Carole...yes oils..thank you for commenting. Marjorie...warm greetings from a warm place...am well, thank you, and hope that you are too...there is another to follow of the same ilk and as ever, both the same, both different. I looked for your work last night but didn't see anything recent..have I missed something? Will look again this evening. This is a glorious day and no time to be in...perhaps you have the same!

One of Bath's street markets has a good variety of fruit and veg, some fairly exotic...this ain't one of them but after suspending the turnip over a glass vase, it produced roots. Interesting to draw and paint and has lasted weeks. As for eating, I wouldn't touch it wearing rubber gloves and a dribble bag!!
