Now, Frankie Howerd, let's get down to it......it doesn't work as well as the previous paintings on the same topic. I'm not sure if the centre egg is in front of a shadow or a mouse hole. Also, the egg on the left is a bit 2-D. Am I being awful?

Ah, Marjorie...no, you're not being awful...just honest. I am disappointed with it...haven't even shown it to Basia. What does that tell you? Thank you..your words are always appreciated. R

This was a bit of a struggle, partly because I thought that I could 'knock it off' with no real effort...after all, what could be simpler than painting a couple of eggs, three in this case, or three 'encased'...and a bit of rough hessian? When M. Blase visits, M. Effort departs. Tant pis...c'est la vie...tous fini! Pretentious?? Moi??? Oh, please your selves! Oil on Canvas 40cm x 30cm
