I agree with you Roger. I think this version has a greater sense of depth and space, however they both have that essence of the place.

Thanks, Fiona. I've been waiting for years for the technology which allows you to combine the best elements of two paintings of the same subject and produce one best version.

12" x 18" pastel. This version was done indoors as a demonstration the next day. I had been a little dissatisfied with the hills in Sunday's plein air painting. In this one, they are bigger than in reality at that distance but the blue/grey works better than the warmer colour.
