Lovely Roger, so much to like and admire

A special place… a lovely painting.

That’s a difficult one Roger. To compare the two images side by side I’ve photographed them…..the only thing that stands out for me, which I preferred in the under painting, is the rocks and grasses on the right, although in the finished painting I like the way the added post? breaks into the far hill. I thought this area in the under painting looked so much like Peploe’s wonderful beach scenes. It’s still a beauty Roger!

Really lovely oil painting, Roger, but I have to say that I probably prefer the immediacy of the watercolour version, but that’s just me.
