Across the marsh at Pevensey

I love this picture. Having spent the first few years of my life in this area, I have fond memories of walking from Westham to the beach at Pevensey Bay. Great stormy sky, lovely palette.

I agree with Helen, Roger: this is a beautiful painting. I love the colours and the composition. Good contrast between the details of the grasses in the foreground and the hint of flowers across the water.

Thanks for your kind comments to Helen. Mia, Fiona and Denise. This picture was based on one of my old photographs when I used to develop and print my own. Now the paint brush and easel has taken over and digital photography is now a useful tool!
