The Stone Bridge

Beautiful colours in this and such a quaint scene, lovely.

Lovely landscape, superb colours both on the land and on the house but is the perspective of the house slightly off? Or is it the dark line on the roof making it seem so?

I have altered the roof line on this painting now which I think has improved the perspective.Thanks Diana for a valued comment.

Like the bridge very much; was slightly puzzled by the architecture of the house but then - it looks like a place that's grown to accommodate a growing family, and there's a few oddly shaped examples of such rustic architecture where I come from. What I really enjoyed about this painting was the foliage, and the way that bare tree merges with the gold and green behind and around it: sensitively done.

I like this too, especially the way you have done the stonework on the bridge. jx
