I have something similar to your pen Roger and yes if you are over indulgent with the wash, you can soon lose it. I love the sky by the way. Unfortunately you have got caught up with a multi poster, I hope viewers manage to catch this, it's lovely.

As pen and wash is my favourite technique (as you probably already know) I think this really is beautiful and well done, Roger. Love it!

I wonder if impermanence of materials is quite such a problem nowadays, given a piece can be scanned with great accuracy and reproduced as often as required.... Leaving which aside, I much admire this, and congratulate you for squeezing in between multiple postings....

Great sketch and I like the bleeding of the penwork into the painting, which adds a softness to some of the line

I used a Staedtler non-permanent Lumocolor pen with watercolour so that the lines partially dissolve in the picture. Carefull control of a damp brush needed!
