Great picture of "Nell" in pastel pencils, Robin. All the colour rendering and the blending of the lower half is superb. I have the advantage as I have seen the original ! !

Thank you so much for all your favourable comments. Although an exercise for SAA Magazine, 'Nell' reminds me of our old cat called 'Tiggy' and I thouroughly enjoyed doing it. Ruth, I use Faber Castell Pitt Pencils which I find suits my style for detail. Glad you liked it.

A beautiful portrait ....... she's just like one of my cats ; a small female who came to live behind my dishwasher!!!! one summer six years ago and needless to say is still here (not hiding any longer!). I've tried drawing her but it's soooo difficult. Your lovely painting has given me the "urge" to try again. thanks.
