Storm Cloud, St Mary's Lighthouse, Whitley Bay - watercolour painting 2022 on Arches rough textured paper. This painting, measuring 9 inches by 13 inches, has been painted with just one colour - Payne's Grey. With careful use of additional clear water, the constituent colours of Payne's Grey - ultramarine blue and burnt sienna - have been encouraged to emerge.
