Bison Meadow

Excellent - I 'knew' a bison, at the zoo where my uncle was a keeper: Ferdinand could get quite irritated, hardly surprisingly given the poor devil was on his own in an enclosure, but when I was small he let me study him for an hour or so ... I'd have much preferred to see him like this, in the grass, and free.

How lovely they look with the sun on their backs, brilliant work as always Richard.

A beautiful painting of magnificent beasts 😃

Great painting - great light.

Claude Monet painted haystacks - I like to paint bison. I have a great resource for bison, since Yellowstone National Park is only 4 1/2 hours away from my home. When photographing bison, I like to have a vehicle close enough for me to get behind before they could get to me.

Great painting of great beasts!
