I often work monochrome but would never have thought of using yellow/orange for that, Rebecca. It is most unusual.

well, that's me Jenny :-p unusual :-p i am happy you like it though :-) you are far more talented than i am :-) Sarah was wondering if the inktense were vivid like inks, but also watercolours, so i thought i would create some basic painting sketches using the ones i have to show their benefits :-)

Thank you Rebecca for going to so much trouble. Yes, these colours are bright and zingy, especially the yellow. Definitely going on my Christmas list :). I cannot find them locally and so will order them in over the Internet, and it's good news that they are not toxic in any way. :)

The yellow Inktense i like very much too :-) and from what i can remember it is lightfast as well which is amazing for yellow. by the way the joannasheen website has nothing to paint with anymore just panpastel for us artists, so not much help :-) looks like il be stuck with Amazon again :-p im so sick of postage rates for art supplies, they are expensive enough as it is without the postage. not a trace of toxic, no warning labels iv seen on the tines either :-p

wonderful colours..........

Lovely, intense atmosphere, Rebecca.

I have to order all my art supplies on-line and my favourite supplier is Jacksons art, website www.jacksonsart.com . They have an excellent range of quality stuff at good prices and postage is free if your order is £39 or more - which I find far too easy to spend

thank you Jenny, this is really helpful :-) im really pleased when people want to participate, and this website looks fabulous, ut is just for me living in France the postage is disastrous :-p i agree, £39 or more is a good starting point, just wish ot covered international orders to be free delivery :-p i think just buying 2 Derwent items would cost you £50 :-p thanks for sharing Jenny :-)

This painting is using both the inktense sunflower yellow (the name has scratched off, but i think it is the sunflower one) and the aquatone Spectrum orange. The yellow is vivid. I have not used the artbars, but assume they are basically sticks of pure inktense. Hope you like :-)
