He's a lovely frog - one of your best paintings so far Rebecca. I love his mottled colouring and your choice of colours has worked by well together. well done!

Thanks Julie, that means alot to me :-) i am pleased how the colours turned out but did not think people would think them realistic eough :-p thank you :-)

A very realistic looking frog Rebecca, perhaps you could turn him into a prince and he could live in one of your castles!

That's really kind of you Christine :-) thank you, and i think you could be on to something there, but i am not kissing the frog :-p

A realistic looking frog but not too much. I think you have a very happy combination of both styles and the result is lovely. For me a painting is an impression of the real and the beauty of it for us the artists is that we have the freedom of interpreting that real as we like and want. Happy painting Rebecca!

I happen to agree with Satu, and I like both your frogs, and your painting of the toadstool, which has some lovely colour combinaitons, which made me look. Carry on!

Hi Satu :-) i am pleased you think i have made him realistic enough :-) i am trying to capture realistically at the moment, :-) i have trouble stopping things from becoming cartoony, i do not always like cartoony :-) thank you for such nice comments Satu :-) i appreciate them :-)

I have a painting book that deals with pictures in stages, undercoats, glazes etc, and so i have attempted to try to capture a realistic looking frog, not too sure if i have, but for me, does not look cartoony so hopefully it is ok. The paints are brusho leaf green, sea green, cimson, yellow, black, and dark green. i used chinese ink and calligraphy pen first. The paper is 300gsm canson montval A6 paper.
