You've painted a lovely 'castle in the sky" Rebecca!

' How sweet to be a cloud, floating in the blue.' Incredible String Band, about 1966. Looks good for a children's book illustration. One thing Rebecca, flags blow in the same direction. best Mick

I'm sure Fiona will love living in her castle Rebecca, she could make the prisoner do the housework ;-)

Now Robbin, that sounds like a good idea....someone to do the house work, and cooking!!! I hate cooking! It's beautiful Rebecca and a lovely dedication, thank you. Bright and cheerful just what a fantasy castle should be. Love the towers, I might borrow your tower idea for my castle, if I may?

Thanks Christine for your lovely comments :-) yes castle in the sky :-)

keep up the good work Rebecca tell me something about how you use brusho paint ..they look very bright what are they like using ? ..do you make washes in your palette first .

Lovely castle Rebecca, you have such a great imagination, well done.

Fiona i have just made it back to painters online after having MAJOR internet connection issues that are still ongoing, i had just got to your message to reply to it when all hell let loose on me :-p it has been almost impossible to just check basic emails, and yesterday, could not even send one until about 4pm........... i have to say i hate hate hate hate hate technology! and i am young enough to meant to love it :-p of course you can use my turret designs :-) i am flattered you think them any good at all :-p i cannot wait to see your fantasy castle and/or any castles you paint :-)

i thought my thank you message to Mick had made it before total hell ascended on me.................clearly not, Sorry Mick :-p I thanked you for such lovely comments and am flattered that you think it would be a nice book illustration :-) thank you :-)

Hi Robbin :-) i agree with the housework :-) but sadly for the prisoner, they are trapped in the turret with only one way of escape :-p thanks for commenting :-)

Hi Alan :-) sorry about the long delay in my reply, but i still have internet issues :-p Brusho is coloured powders (pigments really) that comes in containers like film canisters, and can be mixed with warm water to create inks, watercolours, or mixed with mediums like gum arabic, or PVA glue, or i have tried relief paste, and thickening gel, to create a sort of thick gouache. I use a broken ice-cube tray and a plastic medicine spoon that comes in medicine like calpol, it is 5ml, and use this to add water from my water pot to the ice-cube tray, then i use my wooden stick that has a slight spoon effect at one end that is actually a tool you use when working with clay, but works well for picking up powder cleanly and adding little, by little to the ice-cube tray. at the moment i just need to fill up with water because iv enough powder in the bottom of the tray that once the water evaporates, i can just add more water if you see what i mean. the yellow, you need more of, but ultramarine you do not need much of :-)
