Did this sort of thing at school, which I expect you did. Brusho watercolour isn't, as we now know, lightfast - although I don't know how fast it fades and which colours fade fastetst..... Acrylics, on the other hand, don't fade - you could use Cryla, from Daler Rowney, or the cheaper grade from D-R (have forgotten the name already, but it's very good), Winsor and Newton acrylic, Galeria acrylic, or Chromacolour from Chromacolour UK - all of these dry to a waterproof finish, but you can still work wet in wet, and might enjoy it. You can use them on paper or canvas .... they have strong, bright colours .... maybe give them a go, perhaps when you've run out of the Brusho colour; because Lord, I know paint is expensive!

Hi Robert :-) no i did not do these at school from what i can remember of that hell hole :-) The Brusho website says it has a good level of lightfastness. I have some acrylics, and agree with you that art materials are incredibly expensive and grants are are for students of certain ages and then they are 'means' tested' plus you have to be at university :-p self-taught have it tough :-) chromacolour are good, and i quite like Shcmincke (spelling error :-p ) because their acrylics are perfect for watercolour effects as they are fluid, if you get what i mean :-) Thanks for commenting on my paintings Robert :-)

using brusho powders in water, i wetted an area on one side of a folded piece of A4 paper, then picked up colours with a size 10 brush and splattered it onto the wet paper quickly, then folded the otherside of the paper over to created an almost identical image that i hope you will like :-)
