Is this the same Rebecca ?? Crikey you are making some lovely paintings now Rebecca ! I think you have found a really good style here as all your bird paintings are good. I like the way you have left your pencil/pen showing underneath - it adds to the interest. Great

Great painting Rebecca, your backgrounds are becoming really interesting and fitting for the subject.....which I might add, are super

Hi Beverley :-) it is the same Rebecca, yes :-p that's really kind of you Beverley, thank you :-) i am hoping my other paintings will get better soon :-) thanks so much for commenting and looking at my paintings, i appreciate it a lot :-)

Thanks so much Fiona :-) im really pleased you like the backgrounds for the birds Fiona :-) once i saw an example of a bird sat on a branch, i thought, 'now that is a good idea' so i extended the branches, and added foliage, and it has stuck with me with every bird i do now :-p it was difficult to find a scene for the birds i had drawn until i had seen the example :-)

Lovely and fresh, Rebecca!

I like how you have made all the greens work together without drowning out the birds. Very hard to do, and now for my usual saying (lol), This is your best yet :).

:-p you do make me smile Sarah :-) thank you :-) im really pleased you like it, im pleased it is my best yet, it is encouraging :-)

Rebecca...Thank you so much for your congratulations. I have watched your work coming along, and I have to congratulate YOU! Keep posting, and go from strength to strength as you ARE doing....

Hi Ruth :-) that's so kind of you, thank you :-) im delighted you think my paintings are going from strength to strength :-)

Love this composition and the greens are brilliant - those birds look so interested in what is outside the pic which makes it more appealing ! Never tried brusho but your paintings are full of life and love the colours

Hi Norah :-) thanks so much for your lovely kind comments and for looking and commenting on my painting :-) I am pleased you like it and find it interesting :-)

Brusho watercolours were used, though i think i may be reverting back to my Lyra Aqua crayons soon :-p shock horror i know :-p leaf green, dark green, sea green, gamboge yellow, brown, orange, and W/N opaque artist watercolour white. the paper is A5 Saunders Waterford (St Cutherberts Mill) rough high white 638gsm i will be using the back of it for another painting today :-) hope you like this second attempt :-) i also used Pebeo chinese ink :-)
