I agree with Alan - you're getting better and better with each painting, and it is a lovely piece. Keep going, and well done, Rebecca!

Hi Sylvia :-) I'm pleased you agree it looks like a Blue Tit, the worm i know is a little too big and cartoony, but i thought the painting needed a little something extra, as the bird was looking down at something :-) thanks so much for looking and commenting :-)

Thanks so much Mick :-) thank you for such a lovely suggestion - i do not think the painting would be good enough for that though, the child may not be able to tell what it is meant to be :-p it is a good idea i will keep in mind though for when i may improve :-) thank you for commenting :-)

This attempt at capturing a Blue Tit from an old Ladybird Knowledge of Birds book, is my first. I used Brusho watercolours, Derwent Inktense yellow, Brusho Colbolt blue, Derwent Inktense Black, brusho leaf green, dark, sea green and gamboage yellow, brown and Derwent Metallic Pink for the worm :-) Pebeo chinese ink and calligraphy dip pen used to outline. The paper is A5 Saunders Waterford 190gsm HP White from St Cuthberts Mill. is it ok?
