Preliminary pencil sketch for a portrait I've wanted to do for some time. It's of a 1960's rock star. Can anyone guess who it is? Here's a few clues: He was part of the original 'Merseybeat' scene: In his day, very popular in Liverpool: Once bigger than the Beatles: Died, (possible suicide) in the 1970's: Ringo Starr was his drummer before he joined the Beatles: backing group, 'The Hurricanes'. There that's enough clues. Sorry no prizes, just a bit of fun.
