Really nice loose effect Ray. How do you prep your MDF boards.

Hi Tessa, usually I paint on a silver/gold/bronze/copper metallic acrylic painted board. But with this one I went back to my old method of a fairly absorbent undercoat ( old fashioned ) with a little texture paste. I re-discovered how nice it is to paint initially with a thin mixture of paint and zest-it and see it instantly absorbed.......

Thanks for the info Ray. I’ve used water soluble oils for about three years because I started going to a class where they were used in preference to traditional oils because of the health issues, but have recently started trying them again and they are quite different. I feel I’m still struggling with absorbency and prepping sometimes, which is why I asked, as your painting looks really fluid. Thanks again, and Happy painting!

Really confident and dynamic brush strokes Ray - love it
