Hollyhock Garden

Has a really good warm feel to this painting. Great work.

I love hollyhocks.... These are great, soaring upwards into the sky.

very loose and lovely, the colour of the hollyhock is very pretty, i like it :-) what watercolour paints did you use?

Thanks Rebecca, I used W&N colours. The hollyhock is Permanent Rose and some Cobalt Violet added . I had a look for some Schminke at the weekend but couldn't see any. Think I will order them online :)

I don't know why you were hesitant about posting this lovely watercolour Sarah......you've got some super colours in your washes; the sky, the cottage roof and cable end and the Holllyhocks are exactly as they should be!
