Quite a personal painting this one. It’s for my childhood friend’s 50th Birthday and commissioned by his sister. This is the house where he grew up in Constable country (Dedham, Essex/Suffolk, UK) . I spent much of my childhood at his house, as I lived a couple of miles away. I initially didn’t have the pear tree on the left margin, but it was later added by request, hopefully it’s not too distracting.
