Great sense of place Quintin., makes me want to be there!

I was lucky enough to visit here a couple of months back - an idyllic place. For the like minded geologists out there the rocks in the foreground are part of the Lewisian Gneiss group and these are some of the oldest rocks outcropping on the planet at 2.9-3.0 billion years old having been deformed at lest six times. The original fabric of the rock has long since gone hence the convoluted veiny texture. I wanted to capture these as faithfully as possible - they’ve had a hard time.
