The grey crested tit (Lophophanes dichrous) is a species of bird in the Paridaefamily. It is found in Bhutan, China, Pakistan, India, Burma, and Nepal. Its natural habitatsare temperate forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. 11•5–12•5 cm; 11•2–14 g. Medium-sized, plain grey tit with long erect crest and buffish underparts. Nominate race has pale buffish lower forehead. Fairly quiet. Calls include thin or high-pitched “zee” or “zai” and rapid but faltering “ti-ti-ti-ti”. Food apparently mostly invertebrates and larvae.
