The striated grassbird (Megalurus palustris) is an "Old World warbler" species in the family Locustellidae. It was formerly placed in the Sylviidae. It is found in Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. 22–28 cm (male up to 12% larger than female); 38–56 g. A large and conspicuous warbler with long graduated tail, rectrices tapered to tips. A subdued whistle followed by loud “wheeechoo”.
