.oil on board....60cm*45cm)....This is the very day of the worship of Devi SARASWATI, the deity of learning and education. In our Indian civilization the presiding goddess of knowledge and wisdom is adored as the idol of arts, crafts and culture. It is the firm belief of ours,- we shall earn name and fame in the arena of art, science and literature , if we worship Goddess Saraswati. According to our mythology Devi is seated on a White Lotus possessing a lute. A white Swan is Her Bahana. She evokes our devotion and adoration. Having been decorated with all white becomes the emblem od serenity and holiness. On this auspicious day we want her Grace so that our fingers would be our Pen, Pencil and Painting Brush like tools of art and culture. Not only that we pray to Her graciousness that our abstract art be incarnated and be eternal. Just like trees our art should be long lasting and the roots should spread far and wide. Though Her blessings and the Mantras of creative art, our power of creation would be in blossom. Today I earnestly pray, “MOTHER MINE! MAKE ME A MAN OF ME.”
