You always have a surprise in store - this is a very telling image, beautifully drawn, expertly shaded and coloured - I've never asked before, but you must have some sort of art school training, surely? This figure lives and breathes.

Thanks Robert Jones Sir.... I think I told you before... I am self taught Artist. Never got the chace to go any art related institution... I belong to a family in India which tagged BPL, means below poverty line ... so you can understand ... my struggle for passion...

You probably did tell me before - I do forget things! But I think my forgetfulness might be caused by finding it so hard to believe you had no formal training, given the technical mastery in your work. I suggested to someone on the Forum who was asking questions about drawing that he should study this - so he could understand how to achieve freedom of line with accuracy.

Thanks again Robert Jones Sir ... I am honored with your word... plz chk fb chat inbox...i answered you question there with some details...

Baul-3 ...First work on Fabriano pad...a5... Gelpen and coloured pencil... The Baul (Bengali: ????) are a group of mystic minstrels from Bengal which includes Indian State of West Bengal and the country of Bangladesh. Bauls constitute both a syncretic religious sect and a musical tradition. Bauls are a very heterogeneous group, with many sects, but their membership mainly consists of Vaishnava Hindus and Sufi Muslims. They can often be identified by their distinctive clothes and musical instruments. Not much is known of their origin. Lalon Fokir is regarded as the most important poet-practitioner of the Baul tradition. Baul music had a great influence on Rabindranath Tagore's poetry and on his music (Rabindra Sangeet). Though Bauls comprise only a small fraction of the Bengali population, their influence on the culture of Bengal is considerable. In 2005, the Baul tradition was included in the list of "Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity" by UNESCO
