The ferruginous flycatcher (Muscicapa ferruginea) is a species of bird in the Muscicapidae family. It is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, India, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. Song several harsh or shrill notes, “tsit-tittu-tittu”, first note shorter than others. 12–13 cm; 9–16·7 g. Small to medium-sized, broad-headed flycatcher with short bill. Has head mostly grey. Not globally threatened.
