PAKHI DEKHUN PAKHI CHINUN # 445 (Observe the Bird and recognize).RED TAILED MINLA..[From a Photograph of MR. SHANTANU BHATTACHARYA ] ... WATERCOLOUR ...A4...2014... The red-tailed minla (Minla ignotincta) is a bird species in the family Leiothrichidae. Some modern authors consider its genus Minla monotypic. Like the two other species placed in Minla, it is probably part of a group including such other genera as Actinodura (barwings), Heterophasia (sibias) and Liocichla (liocichlas). It is found in the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. It range includes Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. 13–14·5 cm; 9·5–21 g. Small black-headed babbler with bold yellowish-white supercilium and throat, brown upperparts, pale yellow underparts and red in black tail. Song a fairly high-pitched, loudish, quite quickly repeated (every few seconds) “wi ti wi-wu” .
