Lovely depth and colour, love the highlights on the flowers, trampled grass and tree, the way you have portrayed the path makes your eye wonder through the picture. Title - Hidden trail ?? I'm sure you will get more imaginative suggestions. Nice work.

I've enough trouble titling my own stuff, but never mind the title, what a fabulous painting ... Was it a tinted paper, incidentally?

Hi Peter, many thanks for your comments.I love the title , Hidden Trail and would like to use it for the painting if that's ok with you. I'm going to submit this painting into my art groups annual exhibition in Oct so fingers crossed.

Hi Robert, thanks for your comment. I seem to have a mental block on titles at the moment! In answer to your question, yes it's on tinted paper and the colour is sand. I also sometimes use white pastel primer over watercolour paper, then watercolour or acrylic inks on top this provides a wonderful luminosity under the pastel due to the transparency of the paint.

Beautiful use of colour and treatment of the grasses and flowers.

Thanks, Lesley and congratulations on your recent success.

Hi Teresa, I have been busy getting ready for a fjiord cruise (first real holiday in yonks!) so have only just seen this. I like the way the format lends itself to the subject so well. Also the pastel has a luminous effect on top of the more sombre acrylic, giving a very tactile feeling to the work. Well done..... Good luck with the submission.

Thanks for your comment and have a great holiday
