Really like the soft middle ground and the light on the greens- a very relaxing picture

What a lovely, gentle and soft painting, it looks like there is a heat haze too, really lovely painting :-)

A lovely image. You have created lots of textural quality and the colours chosen are really attractive.

Teresa, I love the violet blue of your shadows..and the subtle glazing on your middle ground. created depth and warmth... a pleasure to admire

This is a delightful painting, I love your warm colours and delicate handling of the subject, Let's see more of your work!

Lovely composition, beautifully painted. I see what you mean Teresa, when you point out the glazing you used to soften the middle ground here...Thank you for your helpful advice on my honeysuckle bush. I haven't seen your work previously but your portfolio looks delightful, I'm off to have a good look.

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments.

Absolutely lovely work, love how you have Brocken up the rustic foreground with the cultivated background, and the hint of wild flowers. Really nice.

Lovely painting, as all your paintings are! I'd love to know how acrylic inks work on canvas. Is it just like using runny acrylic paint, with a brush etc?

Thanks Jackie for your comment. I tend to use acrylic inks for the " blocking in" stage either under acrylic or pastel. They can be used on canvas or paper and on canvas the weave/ texture of the material shows more with the inks. Your description is right and they can be used like watercolours. The ink bottle lid has a pipette attached which is useful for dropping in colour and for drawing into wet paint and the inks are more vibrant than the paints. I hope this helps and makes sense, haha!

I used acrylic inks and acrylic on canvas.I tried to soften the trees in the middle ground by glazing and scumbling using D R glaze medium.
