Beautiful watercolour !!

Those who got to this painting before me have already said it all, but it's so good I had to butt in as well. This is freedom with watercolour with which some of us (that'll be me) struggle. Was there any preliminary pencil work, I wonder, or do you usually go straight in with the brush?

Thank you all for your encouraging comments. A little bit of preliminary painting Robert, just to orientate me when I get into the painting, but once the painting starts flowing most of the drawing goes out of the window as I establish relative shapes and tonal blocks. Hope this makes sense.
