Really like this, Philip - especially the higher viewpoint and the strong feeling of sunlight, emphasised by the reflection on the water. Lovely range of colours as well.

Somewhere on the Caen Valley locks I guess. Long lovely uphill stroll and this lovely piece captures it so well.

A wonderful feeling of British sunshine, weak, watery but oh so welcome. The background trees and the reflections in the canal are very good. I am not so sure about the house windows. I feel these let down an otherwise excellent and evocative painting. I hope you dont mind my adding this small criticism. Your painting immediately caught my eye and I think it is very, very good.
