Yellow phone boxes - that's sacrilege! They should be red. Where do they have yellow ones, Petra? Love your sketch and the fact that there were two boxes must have been a godsend from a compositional point of view. The dog is a great addition too.

Hi Thea, thank your for your lovely comment. I have no idea why the phone boxes on the island of Guernsey are painted yellow, these two are next to the bus station in St Peter Port.

Pen and wash. Saunders Waterford paper. 25x25 cm. Phone Boxes on the island of Guernsey are painted yellow, rather than the traditional red which used to be seen in the UK .
