Great depiction of a beautiful place especially when the heather is out like this Peter.

I've just looked at about 11 pages in the gallery and this is the only painting that really jumped out at me and made me want to comment on it. It's absolutely beautiful; the colours are strong but natural, the foreground detail draws the eye yet leaves a lot to the imagination and the aerial perspective is just perfect. The composition is just right drawing my eye right into the painting to the patch of sunlight or bright crops on the distant fields.

Thanks for your comments Jackie. My paintings are from places I know well and are done from photos or painted outside if conditions allow. By that I mean not too busy with onlookers or during cold weather. I use artist quality paint but try different manufacturers. More work is available on www.peterwigleyart.com
