Super painting Geoff, it tells a story.

Like this one a lot Geoff, fabulous weathered wood detail, up to your sharp standards... Dave

So good Geoff, that wood is amazing as is the sand and that little bird and nest lift the whole painting!

Great work on that weathered wood and good contrasting colors really make it stand out.

I was sitting on this breaker at Mudeford Spit and happened to look down and see the degradation of the woodwork and a painting began to evolve. Pied wagtails are always flitting around in this area and as my research confirmed that it could well have been a nest site it seemed appropriate to include one in the subject. I also liked the turquoise hue to the reed grasses which break up the parallel lines of the timber too.
