I shall have to show this to my 8 year old grandson (the world expert on dinosaurs!) - he would love it. Love the colours in the skin - although how they know what colour diosaurs actually were is a mystery to me as no skin remained as reference. You have invented your skin which is totally appropriate with artistic licence. Great atmospheric painting.

Looks like a pair of deinonychus to me (sorry bit of a dino-anorak). Great picture. Scales are impressive. great use of colour.

Thanks for the comments, as you say, colours and skin texture are unknown, so artistic license had to play its part; but having said that its not inconceivable that they would have some form of camouflage colouring, so that's what I tried to achieve.

Mummy! Ahem..... No one knows what the colour of dinosaurs was, so far as I know, but this is a most effective painting and sharper, ie more precisely defined, than some of your previous work. Perhaps look at monitor lizards, the natural successors to the "terrible lizards". Sure that the sharper drawing will help your future work.

Thanks for your kind words. I love your fabulous paintings, good imagination (it is what I lack!)
