Nice one Pete, the texture of the Arches rough certainly helps to bring out the rock effect on which you have expertly caught the light.

Watercolour on Arches rough paper. 140lb. 1/4 imperial. I've painted this magical cleft before in acrylic, but I needed a fairly quick subject for my art club today. Situated at Nanjizal Cornwall, this is a really beautiful cleft in the rocks at Mill Bay. You cannot drive there. It's about a 20 minute walk and you need to observe the tide times.
