It does Peter but it's the painting that counts and this is a beauty

A lovely painting Peter, great trees and reflections

This is very well painted Peter, lovely Autumn colour. Good reflections too, although it would be even better if you included the thinner branches of the main tree, not easy I know (from many personal disasters)!

My thanks for your comments Dennis, David and Stephen. Also a fair comment Stephen. I did debate on working more on the reflections but chickened out! I have several more photos of Minster Pool so I'll bear that in mind for the next painting.

A super watercolour Peter, I love the main tree and the details, without being too detailed (if that makes sense) in the Minster.

Thanks Fiona. I was pleased with the way the Minster turned out because it is so detailed. It is covered with figures. I've never seen another cathedral with such carvings.

On my recent trip to Lichfield and Stratford I collected loads of reference material. Makes a change from using other peoples photos. This is a view of Minster Pool with the Cathedral in the background. Painted on Arches 140lb NOT paper. Image 16' x 12".
