Incredible... I don't know if I could do this or not - I doubt it - but you must surely put hours of work into this (which I just don't believe I'd have the patience to do)? The tiniest slip of the pen could have spoiled this, but if there is one, I can't find it. So that's the technique, then! The actual work, if we can divorce it from the way it was made, is accurate in every degree - not that I was there at the time, but I've seen many photographs of just this sort of scene from the Victorian era on the Isle of Wight. It brings back a lost way of life, with great immediacy.

fantastic detail, a masterpiece! I love it.

Admirable work!

Superb. I'd like to know the dimensions of it, please.

Amazing patience to do this, its stunning. Agree with David, its a master piece.

Wonderful accurate work. A beautiful piece.

I echo everything that has been said already. An incredible piece of work.

Thanks very much everybody. As you remark pointillism is very time consuming, probably about 8 or 9 days for this piece, but it does lend itself to accuracy, unfortunately the scan doesn't help the detail but I suppose everyone has this problem. Lynda the original is approx. A4.
