This scene is one of my favourite viewpoints in the world … standing by the clocktower, looking down on the market place at St Émilion in France 🇫🇷 … vineyards as far as the eye can see. Plus … as a painter, the interesting composition of the white canopies against all of that stone & terracotta is irresistible… and the shadows are to die for!
