Although not my type of painting I can appreciate the work that has gone into this and I think those mountains are so good, really well painted. Like the wolf as well.

By chance i just stopped by for 5 mins and this was one of the new posts...... hows that for sychronicity. Pauline this is a smashing illustration and you have paid such attention to the story right down to the Buck blue of Fitz Chivalry's clothes and the Buck emblem on his chest not to mention a great rendering of his faithful wit beast Nighteyes. Wow !! well done indeed. It's so depressing that i can only find time for the smallest of sketches at the moment, but you've given me an incentive to try painting my own version of these two at some point this year........ all the best your fellow 'Hobbite'...Steve

This is my son's type of literature; he woudl love this. I love the mountains and valley below. A very good impression of the height at which they are standing.

Well done. This is fantastic. The wold is excelent. I love fantasy novels too but am too scared to try animals - one of these days. This is so very good though.

Awesome work!!! The wolf is so real
