Oh dear, things did not work out for this batsman. It is a superb view of a cricket dismissal, a powerful one that has quite literally swept the stumps away. The drawing is completed in charcoal and pastel. The paper is high quality Canson pastel paper in mid grey. I have added the red pastel pad because the source photo showed the cricketer in his international colours. Charcoal is a more effective medium for showing movement but as a point of interest a small dash of colour works well. I set myself the challenge of completing the drawing in a day. Technically it only takes a few hours to draw but I tend to spread it out over 2 days to help concentration, I managed it but I was tired by the end of the day.
