Your definitely getting it Peter.

Very good as Carole said getting better.

This is experimental and is good. Making faces is an ideal subject and good practice for actual likenesses in terms of tones.

Please don't bin it Peter, it is all part of your art and not at all bad.

ALL your art work should be stored in a suitable folder in chronological order so that you can look back and see how your technique improves and your style develops. NO art work should be binned. You are definitely improving. It is good to see that you are losing the hard line around parts of the picture and instead using the adjacent colour or shading to define the boundaries. (I hope my meaning is clear! Look at any object - a book or a ball, say, on a table - and you do not see a dark line around it. You see it because of its colour and tone against the adjacent colour and tone of surrounding objects - the table cloth, for example). There are, of course, exceptions, but keep doing what you enjoy and keep posting!

Don't bin it Peter coming on well
