I well remember gathering the reference photos for this one! Anxious not to disturb these roosting birds, I crept out of my tent in the very early morning, just as the sun was coming up, and succeeded in getting some pictures, but there was sadly no question of managing any sketching.....I was practically eaten alive by midges!
