There seems to have been a lot of interest in the gouache pieces I've posted lately, so I thought I would post the exercise in which I was introduced to the medium, at the start of my second year at Teacher Training College, studying Fine Art as a Main Course subject. We were shown how to construct a beautiful cube using a craft knife and creamy white cartridge, then required to transform that cube using colour ONLY in rich , silky gouache ! - a transformative process for me! © Jo Morton 1966
